Production Manager – Ibstock Plc

About the Role

To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join our team at our Dewsbury factory in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, WF12 9EF.


Main Responsibilities

  • The development and promotion of Company, Factory, and team plans through effective communication and their focused implementation to achieve defined objectives
  • People Management: motivation and structured development of the team through performance reviews to ensure delivery of objectives through team working
  • Application of the Ibstock Manufacturing System to deliver Continuous Improvement across all areas of Manufacturing
  • Implementation of, and adherence to, all Company and Factory control procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements in Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality
  • Collection, assimilation and analysis of production and process data, and its effective use to develop and achieve key targets and objectives
  • Development of systems and standards to deliver world-class housekeeping standards, using the 5S principles
  • Procurement of production materials, goods, and services within defined areas of the production environment
  • Effective interdepartmental liaison to achieve defined objectives

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • A proven track record in a continuous manufacturing environment at the advertised level or above
  • A high degree of self-motivation
  • Ability to self-manage and adjust to evolving business needs
  • Ability to understand, accept, and achieve targets and deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills, including efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures
  • Leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build, motivate, develop, and improve the team
  • Demonstrated ability to implement structured problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across all departments and levels of the business
