Production Manager - Wiltshire

Hours: 9am - 5pm

Salary: £40,000

Hawk3 Talent Solutions is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead a high-performing manufacturing team in Wiltshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role where you'll oversee a well-structured team comprising 4 Team Leaders, an Assembly Manager, an Evening Shift Leader, a Production Planner, and around 30 skilled production staff. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy balancing hands-on leadership with strategic thinking, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

The Role

As Production Manager, you'll be at the heart of operations, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You'll lead from the front, supporting your team while also driving continuous improvement and long-term performance.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Leading and coordinating daily production across both shifts
  • Ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining exceptional quality standards
  • Owning and improving production efficiency through smart planning and leadership
  • Managing and adapting production plans to meet changing customer demands
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing Team Leaders and wider production teams
  • Driving performance through KPI tracking and clear communication
  • Promoting a strong culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Conducting team meetings, inductions, appraisals, and disciplinary processes as needed
  • Managing attendance, timekeeping, and payroll accuracy
  • Overseeing health & safety compliance, safe working practices, and PPE adherence
  • Creating quality alerts and driving problem-solving initiatives across the floor
  • Reporting weekly machine performance and cascading insights through teams

About You

We're looking for a strong, people-focused leader with a passion for operational excellence and team development.

You'll Bring

  • Proven experience managing large teams within a manufacturing environment
  • Confidence working with production planning systems (MRP) and MS Office tools
  • Knowledge of heavy manufacturing machinery
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • A proactive, positive mindset with a strategic outlook
  • Excellent communication skills and an approachable leadership style
  • Experience in KPI reporting and performance management
