Production Manager

📍Cambridge, Harlow, Bedford

At Hill, we don’t just build homes — we build communities, careers, and industry-leading standards. We’re looking for an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead major residential developments across the Bedfordshire, Essex and Cambridgeshire region and help shape the future of construction delivery.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Director, you’ll take overall responsibility for regional production teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the exceptional quality standards Hill is known for.

You’ll lead Contracts Managers and site teams across a portfolio of high-value developments, driving performance, managing risk, and creating a culture of excellence from design through to final handover.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading end-to-end project delivery across multiple live sites
  • Driving best-in-class health & safety standards across the region
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and right first time
  • Managing and mentoring high-performing production teams
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
  • Overseeing programme management, buildability, and value engineering
  • Championing quality, sustainability, and Considerate Constructor standards
  • Supporting pre-construction activity and future business opportunities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
