Materials Production Planner (FMCG)
Our client, a successful and growing food manufacturer, is looking to recruit a Raw Materials Production Planner to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive planning professional to play a key role in ensuring the timely supply and movement of raw materials and packaging to support production.
Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will work closely with suppliers, the supply chain, and production teams to maintain efficient material availability and contribute to the smooth running of manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase orders using MRP systems.
- Ensure recipe and packaging changes are implemented and available for production.
- Communicate any material issues or changes that may impact the production plan.
- Provide support to the wider planning team.
- Maintain accurate document control and records.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Deliver excellent internal customer service and support operational objectives.
- Coordinate supplier delivery schedules to ensure continuity of supply.
- Raise, monitor, and close purchase orders accurately and efficiently.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Planning, Purchasing, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain role.
- Experience within the chilled or frozen food manufacturing sector would be advantageous.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and MRP systems.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
- A proactive, driven, and detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
