Role
The Operations Planner is a key member of the Production Team. You will work closely with other Operations Planners, Shop Floor Supervisors, and Team Leaders to ensure customer delivery dates are met.
The main responsibility of the role is the detailed planning of activities that place load on Production resources. By the careful balancing of Production CRP Loads and available capacity, detailed Weekly Production Schedules will be issued to the Shop Floor.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining accurate schedules in IFS based on available and projected Production Resources.
- Performing CRP Load Risk Reviews and taking action when needed.
- Responsible for creating and communicating valid Weekly Work Schedules to the Shop Floor Leadership Team.
- Providing guidance to the Shop Floor Leadership Team on how to best organise resources to achieve the production plan.
- Ensuring each scheduled operation meets the required due date according to the high-level delivery schedule demanded by project activities and customer orders.
- Determining the status of assigned project activities, expediting operations and materials that delay schedules and altering schedules to meet unforeseen activities.
- Addressing MRP Exceptions and working with other functions to ensure accurate system data.
- Expediting all operations and shortages to achieve Kitting On Time.
