Join Our Machine-Made Products Team!
Hours: 16:00 until 01:30 (Approx.) Monday to Friday with a rotational day off each week
Competitive Pay: £13.21 per hour with an enhanced rate of £16.51 per hour for shifts worked between 8 pm and 6 am or any hours over 37.5 per week. Opportunities for higher earnings as you progress!
Our Machine-Made Products team was created last year after we won a major new contract, and we are now expanding! These exciting roles put you right at the heart of our pastry production process, helping us create high-quality products loved by customers across the UK.
What You’ll Do
As a Production Operative, you’ll work as part of a friendly, well-supported team responsible for ensuring our pastry products are made efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
This is a physically active role that involves lifting items up to 25kg, standing for most of your shift, and working at pace. In return, we offer great training, progression opportunities, and a genuinely supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Preparing production machinery at the start of each shift to ensure correct setup and smooth operation.
- Line Operation: Running production lines at optimal speed, helping to produce thousands of products per hour.
- Supplying the Lines: Transporting and supplying fillings created by the Mix Room team to keep lines running efficiently.
- Pastry Production: Mass-producing pastry to feed the production line.
- Depositor Operation: Operating depositor equipment to ensure accurate filling of products.
- Hand-Finished Products: Applying cheese, bacon, and other ingredients by hand where required, including folding pastry parcels.
- Waste Management: Collecting, sorting, and managing waste to support good yields and an efficient, hygienic workspace.
- Quality Control: Carrying out product weight checks and other quality checks to meet our high standards.
- Decorative & Topping Application: Adding finishing touches and operating topping/glazing equipment for products requiring decoration.
- Team Support: Working within a close-knit team with a supportive team leader always available to help.
- Training: Following a structured training programme focused on efficiency, quality, and progression.

Full training is provided. After completing your probation period, you’ll gain:
- Food Safety Level 2 certificate
- Health & Safety Level 2 certificate
