Production Operative

Are you a skilled Deburrer / Engineering Production Operative? Do you take pride in producing perfectly finished, high quality components? Kinetic are assisting a company in Poynton with recruiting a permanent, hands on production operative to work within a company with over 40 years of success in precision engineering. As the Production Operative, you will be tasked with:
- Organising work areas, including vibro bowl feeder management and shelving
- Dressing and preparing components, including bead blasting and surface finishing
- Deburring and finishing machined parts using hand tools, grinders, files, stones and abrasive equipment
- Carrying out general workshop tasks such as drilling, tapping, reaming and jigsaw work
- Inspecting incoming materials for accuracy, certification and part details
- Cleaning components using degreasers, detergents, water and thinners
- Recording production information and ensuring correct placement of parts and paperwork
- Managing waste, including swarf disposal and pallet breakdown
- Supporting CNC teams with machine cleaning, tooling checks and consumable monitoring
- Assisting with goods in and supporting packaging of finished parts
We need people that are able to hit the ground running and also:
- Hands on engineering experience (fitter, deburrer, production)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, consistent and organised approach to work
- Confidence using hand tools, grinders and workshop equipment
- Clear communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team
- Positive, flexible attitude with willingness to learn

The role of the production operative offers the following:
- £15.00 - £17.00 per hour (approx. £29000.00 - £31,000) DOE
- Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-2:30pm
- Permanent role from day one
- Excellent working environment

- 23 days holiday + bank holidays
