About the Role

It is preferable that you have previous experience in this field, or you have worked in a similar role, and you have a practical understanding of work conducted within the printing industry, but this is not essential. Full training will be given to the successful applicant.

Job Summary
This role is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Operate assigned production machinery according to standard operating procedures.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks throughout the production process to ensure adherence to specifications and identify any defects or issues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance.
- Material Handling: Assist in the movement, loading, and unloading of raw materials and finished products, ensuring proper storage and organisation.
- Training and Development: Engage in training programs to enhance skills; prior machine operation.
- Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the print & production department and team members.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe workplace.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including output quantities, equipment logs, and quality control reports.
Person Specification
- Education: Functional skills
- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or direct experience operating machinery preferred but not essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating production equipment and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and follow standard operating procedures.
- Physical attributes: Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Other skills:
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Time Management: Excellent organisational skills, capable of prioritising tasks efficiently.
- Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork.
- Training Willingness: Open to training.
- Strong work ethic: Proven record of self-motivation, punctuality and good attendance.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- Flexible: to meet work and customer demands.

Schedule
- Flexibility required for overtime and weekend work during peak periods.
- Work Schedule: 8-hour shift system: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, on a weekly rotating basis.
