About The Role
Join Our Dynamic Onsite Production Team at Kober!
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to become a vital part of our onsite Production Team at our bacon slicing and packing facility in Cleckheaton. If you are passionate about Production and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, rotating morning and afternoon shifts between 6:30am and 10:30pm
- Location: Kober, Cleckheaton - Site Based Role
- Contract Type: Permanent
Please note that Kober operates as a high-care, chilled meat processing facility specialising in the production and packing of bacon.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Production Operative, you will play a vital part in our day-to-day operations, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work within a high-care chilled environment, handling food products, operating machinery, and adhering to strict hygiene and safety procedures.
- Ensure products are correctly packed and labelled to target in line with company and customer expectations.
- Report any defects or poor quality to a Line Leader.
- Correctly pack finished goods safely, to specification standards and in the correct orientation within each box.
- Safely stack boxes to a required height.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment is essential, specifically within a food production or chilled environment background is desirable.
- Good practical skills and the ability to work quickly and methodically and within a team.
- Ability to concentrate whilst doing repetitive tasks and follow instructions.
- A ‘Can do’ attitude and proactive approach.
- Understanding of health and safety policies in the workplace.
- Entry-level in both written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to work in a chilled environment (protective clothing provided).
