Production Operative
Primary Location: BEDFORD, United Kingdom

Main purpose of the role:
- Weighing, mixing, loading and packing of raw materials to exact customer specifications
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, safe systems of work and health & safety at all times
- Safe, efficient and effective use of all equipment to carry out job function at all times
- Achieve daily deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily supply of ingredients to the sieve and replenishment areas in accordance with production requirements in a timely manner to support targets
- Work collaboratively with Senior Operatives in engaging and supporting with effective training of new starters
- Remain vigilant on a daily basis to Company Health & Safety standards and rules
- Report any and all health & safety, food safety and Welfare concerns to Shift Leader or Manager
- Work diligently to standard operating procedures at all times on a daily basis
- Work with Senior / Shift Leader to identify procedural improvements, risk assessments and safe systems of work in line with the role.
- Operate and check equipment as set out in the relevant operating procedures and safe systems of work
- Take a proactive approach on a daily basis to maintaining a clean, tidy and well organised work environment in support of strict hygiene requirements
- Support the completion of any and all documentation generated as part of the day-to-day operations
- Demonstrate a good work ethic on a day-to-day basis
- Engage positively in supporting other departments to meet the needs of the business
- Carry out any additional management request within the reasonable scope of the role

Candidate Profile:
- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent
- Experience of following production procedures
- Ability to lift bags between 20 - 25kg
- Good Level of numeracy skills
- Ability to follow procedures effectively and efficiently
- Good understanding of written and verbal communication
- Must be able to reliably commute to place of work and /or other sites if required to do so within the role
- Able to work well with people of all levels within the organisation
- Commitment to team working
- Understanding of equality, diversity & inclusion showing respect and dignity to all in the workplace
- Communicates with courtesy and listens with respect to the views of others
- Strong awareness and vigilant approach to Health & Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Safe Systems of Working
