Production Operative – Manufacturing & Electrical Assembly

About the Role

A Production Operative will support operations across various projects and production processes, adhering to business requirements in mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties – Non-Exhaustive)

  • Ensure personal and team safety as a top priority
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations in the work area
  • Contribute to safety-led initiatives
  • Perform assembly of mechanical metalwork and product components
  • Handle preparation and termination of wiring
  • Read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
  • Work to defined standard work requirements
  • Pack equipment using the most efficient methods instructed
  • Maintain adherence to all quality standards
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Conduct minor sub-assembly tasks
  • Inspect parts for production readiness
  • Work flexibly within a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Meet deadlines and adhere to set timescales
  • Contribute effectively in a team environment
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
  • Follow all PPE and workwear requirements

Essential Criteria (Applicants Must Demonstrate)

  • Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly within a manufacturing/production environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with other computer software systems
  • Ability to work from electrical schematic drawings
  • Strong concentration and attention to detail over extended periods
  • High performance under pressure and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience using a variety of hand, power, and air tools
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, with proactive initiative

Note: Extended periods of footwork may be required for this role.
