PRODUCTION OPERATIVE
Locations: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
🔹 Production Operative at Finedon (Permanent)
Salary: £13.50 per hour Hours: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Impact Recruitment are recruiting for a Production Operative to join a growing business in Finedon at a brand-new, modern workshop site. This is an ideal opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality, bespoke window and door products while working collaboratively within a dynamic team.
About the Role
As a Production Operative, this hands-on role offers hands-on assembly work with a focus on precision and quality. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced but supportive environment, where craftsmanship meets modern manufacturing standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assembling window and door frames per technical specifications.
- Safely and accurately fitting glass into frames.
- Installing mechanisms, fixtures, and fittings as required.
- Conducting basic assembly tasks using handheld tools.
- Supporting the team to meet daily production targets.
- Ensuring all products adhere to the company’s quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean, well-organised, and compliant workspace.

Responsibilities
- Assemble products (windows/doors) with attention to detail.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols when handling glass/-tools.
- Perform precise, repetitive assembly tasks with high accuracy.
- Work independently or collaborate as part of a manufacturing process.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment or fitting issues on the fly.
- Contribute to a continuous improvement workflow in a new production site.
Requirements
Strong preference for candidates with:
- Existing experience in manufacturing/assembly environments.
- Experience working with hand tools and precision tasks.
- A meticulous attitude to avoid small internal defects.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications/plans clearly.
- Ability to operate safely within a workshop setting.
- Flexibility to adapt to a brand-new production workflow.
