About the Role
The Production Operative will support the Team Leader and Senior Operators in meeting weekly production targets while maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Working in a safe and compliant manner, reporting any potential hazards.
- Adhering to Product Specifications and operating machines as instructed.
- Ensuring all finished products meet quality checks (seal integrity, weight, and coding).
- Contributing to continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Quality Assurance
- Maintain high timekeeping standards in line with company policies.
- Operate machines following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct FOL (First Operation License) checks for every product.
- Communicate quality-related issues to the Quality Control Department.
- Collaborate with machine operators to minimise downtime during changeovers.

Safety & Compliance
- Continuously improve safety alongside the H&S Manager.
- Maintain audit-ready hygiene standards within the department.
- Report machine, process, or personnel issues promptly to management.
- Follow "Rework Instructions" where required by senior personnel.
Administrative & Team Support
- Complete departmental paperwork (e.g., 30-minute quality sheets, reconciliation sheets) accurately and on time.
- Assist in best practice development with Team Leaders & Managers.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as directed.

- Team player ability – willing to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivation – ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills for accurate data recording.
- Attention to detail – essential for quality and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) to report issues and liaise with teams.
