  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
  • Friday: 08:00 - 14:30

About the Role

The Production Operative will support the Team Leader and Senior Operators in meeting weekly production targets while maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working in a safe and compliant manner, reporting any potential hazards.
  • Adhering to Product Specifications and operating machines as instructed.
  • Ensuring all finished products meet quality checks (seal integrity, weight, and coding).
  • Contributing to continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain high timekeeping standards in line with company policies.
  • Operate machines following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct FOL (First Operation License) checks for every product.
  • Communicate quality-related issues to the Quality Control Department.
  • Collaborate with machine operators to minimise downtime during changeovers.

Safety & Compliance

  • Continuously improve safety alongside the H&S Manager.
  • Maintain audit-ready hygiene standards within the department.
  • Report machine, process, or personnel issues promptly to management.
  • Follow "Rework Instructions" where required by senior personnel.

Administrative & Team Support

  • Complete departmental paperwork (e.g., 30-minute quality sheets, reconciliation sheets) accurately and on time.
  • Assist in best practice development with Team Leaders & Managers.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks as directed.

  • Team player ability – willing to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivation – ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills for accurate data recording.
  • Attention to detail – essential for quality and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) to report issues and liaise with teams.
