About The Role

We are looking for a flexible and reliable Ad Hoc Production Operative to support manufacturing operations across multiple production areas. This hands-on role will involve undertaking a variety of production activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will be adaptable and willing to work across different production processes to support changing business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment, tools, and fixtures in accordance with approved work instructions.
  • Carry out manufacturing, assembly, packing, inspection, or processing activities as required.
  • Support multiple production areas to maintain output and meet customer demand.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Record production information and report any quality, equipment, or process issues.
  • Assist with basic equipment checks and housekeeping activities.
  • Maintain excellent standards of safety, quality, and 5S within the work area.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and workplace efficiency initiatives.
  • Follow all company procedures, work instructions, and health and safety requirements.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve production targets.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to work across different production areas.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
  • Reliable, positive, and proactive attitude.

Desirable

  • Experience operating manufacturing equipment or machinery.
  • Knowledge of inspection and quality control processes.
  • Experience working within lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
