The Role
As a Cookline Production Operative, you’ll be at the core of production—delivering fast, high-quality meals that people love every day. It’s exciting, physically rewarding, and hugely satisfying work.
Your Responsibilities
- Operate with precision: Ensure the production line is flowing smoothly by preparing and feeding raw materials. Think speed, accuracy, and teamwork.
- Stay active and fit-for-purpose: Be comfortable lifting up to 30kg as part of your daily routine—no light lifts here.
- Balance teamwork and independence: Adapt to both collaborative tasks and individual responsibilities, such as setting up the line, scheduling checks and quality checks.
- Hygiène, cleanliness, and consistency: Clean downs are required twice weekly using industrial equipment. Working with raw materials and in warm, active environments means staying hands-on and diligent.
- Accuracy and attention to detail: We’re dedicated to quality and safety, holding a BRC AA rating* for food safety. Your work impacts thousands—we need precision.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
