Shift Pattern & Hours
- 4 on, 4 off shifting
- 12-hour shifts (6am–6pm or 6pm–6am)
- Rotation: Days and nights

About the Role
As a Production Operative, you’ll play a hands-on role in producing Tyrrells hand-cooked potato crisps to the high standards our customers expect. You’ll work on frying or packing lines, operating complex machinery safely and efficiently to ensure smooth, high-quality production.
This is a varied and rewarding role with full training provided. You’ll learn to:
- Operate production lines
- Perform daily routines and quality checks
- Identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate
- Work as part of a friendly, collaborative team that takes pride in their work and looks out for one another

Competitive Compensation
- Starting salary: £30,466.80 per annum
- After successful probation: £31,122 per annum

Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
- Control frying or packing line equipment to meet production targets and site standards
- Monitor performance and quality
- Use online data systems to track standards and report defects promptly
- Problem-solving
- Identify and resolve machine-related issues to minimise downtime
- Daily routines and checks
- Conduct quality checks, line inspections, and maintain accurate records
- Maintain cleanliness and safety
- Participate in line cleaning activities and adhere to food safety and hygiene procedures

Job Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience in manufacturing or food production (highly desirable, though not essential)
- Level 2 in Food Safety for Manufacturing (desirable, but bespoke training will be provided)
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills to a good standard in English
- Ownership and accountability — the ability to take initiative and stay independent
- Multi-tasking proficiency with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail — accuracy is imperative in this role
- Effective teamwork — the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
