Production Operative
Production Operative Role Description
A Production Operative will work within any area of Operations, supporting the project and flow sides of the business as required in line with business requirements.
Essential Duties (not exhaustive)
- Ensure their own and the safety of their fellow team members is a priority
- Work to any defined health and safety requirements and support safety-led initiatives
- Perform assembly of mechanical metalwork
- Assemble product components
- Conduct preparation and termination of wiring
- Able to read from and work from electrical schematic drawings
- Operate in line with defined standard work requirements
- Pack equipment as instructed, using best methods available
- Adhere to all stipulated quality standards
- Proactively support Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Undertake any other reasonable duty required by business needs
- Assemble various sub-assemblies for production
- Inspect parts for use in production
- Exhibit a flexible approach to tasks in a busy working environment
- Work to set timescales and meet deadlines
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Maintain a clean and tidy working area
- Adhere to PPE and workwear requirements

Essential Criteria
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or production environment
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and experience with various computer software systems
- Experience of working from electrical schematic drawings
- Ability to demonstrate concentration and focus with continued attention to detail over extended periods
- Holding high levels of attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Relevant experience of using a range of hand, power, and air tools
- Experience working in a team, with ability to use own initiative and work independently
Note: This role may require working on foot for extended periods.
