# Production Operative – Ashton Under Lyne
Location: Ashton Under Lyne
Hours: 48 hours per week – 12-hour shifts (weekly rotating pattern) Monday–Thursday: 6am–6pm Monday–Friday: 6pm–6am

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Production Operative to ensure the smooth, efficient operation of our manufacturing unit.
This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of production processes. As part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to achieving targets while maintaining and improving quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence & Fault Resolution
- Ensure continuous running of machines to meet production targets
- Conduct first-line fault finding and resolve issues efficiently
- Report unplanned downtime to the Cell Leader

Process & Compliance
- Report planning/material issues and monitor productivity progress
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and quality testing of products
- Complete shift handover, data systems entry, and paperwork accurately and on time

Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Report any safety hazards/opportunities to the Cell Leader
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all company safety and operational procedures

Team Support
- Assist in training new team members
- Support collaborators in the wider manufacturing team
- Communicate effectively with Cell Leaders, Shift Managers, and colleagues

Flexibility
- Be prepared to work across multiple areas of the manufacturing unit as required
Requirements & Qualifications
