Summary

A Key Role in Delivering Quality and Efficiency on the Production Line

The Role

Sofina Foods is looking for diligent, reliable, and proactive General Operatives to join our production team. This is more than just a hands-on role – it’s a chance to play a vital part in crafting quality products that reach customers across the UK and beyond.

Working directly with experienced leaders, you’ll help ensure our high standards of safety, efficiency, and product quality are consistently met – all while contributing to a positive team culture and a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and wants to grow within a leading food business.

Shift: Thursday to Saturday 6am-6pm

Pay: £12.85 with a premium rate of £15.87 per hour for Saturday working.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a General Operative, you will:

  • Handle raw sliced bacon and confidently identify different cuts such as prime and neck end
  • Load raw bacon into Multivac machinery with both speed and accuracy
  • Pack finished products neatly and in line with customer specifications (cartons, boxes, or baskets)
  • Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring labels are correct, seals are clean, and packaging is intact
  • Take ownership of housekeeping in your area, maintaining standards under our ‘clean as you go’ policy
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the production floor

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
