Pro-Found Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join the Paint Shop department for our prestigious Manufacturing client based in Rotherham, S60.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals who are looking for long-term employment with the potential of a permanent contract.

£16.31 per hour – Rate includes attendance bonus
Hours of Work
39 hours per week Monday to Friday – Rotating shifts: Days: 6:00am – 2:00pm & Afters: 2:00pm – 10:00pm. Early finish on Fridays
Start Date
Monday 20th July 2026
Please note: Due to the training period, no pre-booked holidays can be accommodated within the first 12 weeks of the start date.

Production Operative Duties
Working within a fast-paced Paint Shop environment, duties will include:
- Preparing kitchen components and wooden panels for the paint process
- Loading and unloading production machinery safely and efficiently
- Operating paint line and production machinery
- Assisting with paint spraying and finishing processes
- Sanding, masking, wiping down, and preparing materials before painting
- Carrying out visual quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
- Identifying defects, damages, or inconsistencies in finished products
- Handling and moving wooden panels and materials around the production area
- Following detailed written and verbal instructions accurately
- Maintaining high levels of precision and attention to detail
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Working to production targets and daily deadlines
- Following strict health & safety procedures and safe working practices
- Working independently and as part of a wider production team
- Supporting other departments when required

Production Operative Criteria
Essential Requirements
- Previous production or manufacturing experience is essential – Applicants without manufacturing/production experience will not be shortlisted
- Strong understanding of health & safety in a production environment
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role
- Comfortable with manual handling and lifting wooden panels throughout shifts
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong work ethic with the ability to meet production targets consistently

Desirable Experience

- Previous experience within a paint shop or woodworking environment
- Experience working within fast-paced manufacturing environments
