Trainee Technical Operator/Production Operative – Butter Department

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Technical Operator/Production Operative to join the Butter Department at our Market Drayton site, as part of Müller’s UK Manufacturing Operator team. This role involves producing a quality product and adhering to laid-down procedures in the most efficient way possible.

Contract: Full Time / Permanent Starting Salary: £32,951.76 per annum (increasing to £38,594.96 once fully trained) Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off – Days and Nights (7-7) Location: Market Drayton (Butter)


Responsibilities

  • Operating manufacturing machinery in accordance with laid-down procedures
  • Adopting a proactive approach to all matters concerning Health & Safety
  • Cooperating with the employer to assist in fulfilling statutory duties
  • Meeting operational line/plant targets, waste targets, and individual performance targets
  • Minimising machine/plant downtime
  • Maintaining hygienic standards of the production environment and overall housekeeping
  • Performing basic routine maintenance (mechanical aptitude is essential)
  • Striving to produce the highest quality product, highlighting any concerns to your manager
  • Conducting prompt fault-finding and taking timely corrective action or escalating issues
  • Adopting a flexible approach to work arrangements
  • Completing raw material and finished product analytical testing and confirming legal compliance
