Production Operative
Location: Kilmarnock, KA2
Salary: £26,436.80 per annum
Hours of Work: 5 days a week – Monday to Friday (Week 1) and Sunday to Thursday (Week 2) – Day Shifts / 7am-4pm
Braehead Foods are looking for an experienced Production Operative to join our team in Kilmarnock. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a fast-paced fine foods business, ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately, efficiently and to the high standards our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the pace and standards of performance within the Production Department
- Prepare customer orders accurately in line with the production plan
- Assist in minimising waste whilst maximising productivity and product availability
- Ensure all stock is used in accordance with Company stock rotation procedures
- Comply with all Production Department policies and procedures
- Maintain Health & Safety and HACCP standards in line with Company policy and legal guidelines
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards by following the Company “Clean as you go” policy
- Carry out manual handling and other food preparation duties as required

Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience working within a production or food preparation environment
- Food Hygiene Certificate and/or experience handling fresh chilled produce
- Knowledge of products similar to the Braehead Foods range
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- A flexible and positive approach to teamwork
- Manual handling experience
