Production Operative

Production Operative

About the Role A Production Operative will support the project and flow sides of the business within Operations, adapting to business requirements as necessary.

Essential Duties (not exhaustive):

  • Safety must remain a top priority, ensuring their own and colleagues’ well-being while adhering to health and safety requirements
  • Contribute to and support safety-led initiatives
  • Perform assembly of mechanical metalwork
  • Build product components
  • Execute preparation and termination of wiring
  • Read, interpret, and apply electrical schematics
  • Follow defined standard work procedures
  • Pack equipment as directed using optimal methods
  • Comply with all quality standards
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Undertake any reasonable additional duties as requisite for business needs
  • Assemble various sub-assemblies for production
  • Inspect parts before use in manufacturing
  • Maintain a flexible, adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment
  • Meet set timescales and deliverables
  • Operate collaboratively and diligently as part of a team
  • Keep the working area clean, organised, and orderly
  • Adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and workwear policies

Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to: ✔ Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly within manufacturing/production ✔ Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software systems ✔ Experience working from electrical schematic drawings ✔ Concentration and attention to detail, even under sustained focus ✔ High work standards under pressure and ability to meet deadlines ✔ Relevant experience with hand, power, and air tools ✔ Teamwork with adaptability; willingness to use initiative and work independently
