Production Operative

Production Operative & FLT Driver Cover

Join our team at DS Smith Wirral and play a key role in delivering high-quality production! We're looking for a motivated Production Operative to support our manufacturing operations. You'll help ensure smooth production processes, maintain safety standards, and achieve performance targets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for your own and others' health & safety, following SSOW (Safe System of Work) and company procedures.
  • Immediately report any unsafe acts or incidents to management.
  • Meet productivity and quality targets consistently.
  • Carry out daily warehouse and production activities.
  • During holidays and buys periods assist in loading and unloading vehicles, feeding machinery with material whilst liaising with the office.

About you

  • Minimum requirements
    • Safet First mindset
    • Self-Motivated, positive, and enthusiastic.
    • Strong Communications Skills (Verbal and written).
    • Team player with a quality-focused approach.
    • Flexible and open to multi-skilled working and constructive challenge.

  • Preferred experience
    • Background in corrugated board manufacturing (ideal but not essential).
    • Previous experience in production machine and FLT operations.
    • Basic Maths skills for inventory tasks.
    • Counterbalance licence.
