A Key Role in Delivering Quality, Safety, and Efficiency on the Production Floor
The Role
Sofina Foods Haverhill is looking for a reliable, hands-on Production Operative to join our high-performing manufacturing team on the afternoon shift. This role is essential to maintaining the quality and consistency of our products, while supporting our strong focus on safety, hygiene, and efficiency.
Working as part of a fast-paced production environment, you’ll play a vital role in preparing, assembling, and packing food products to the highest standards. If you take pride in precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement – we want to hear from you.
Pay: £12.80 an hour
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Production Operative, you will:
- Process and pack food products in line with required standards in a food factory setting
- Follow all procedures around Safety, Hygiene, Quality, Quantity, and Cost
- Operate equipment and support changeovers as trained, contributing to smooth production flow
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and adhere to food safety regulations
- Keep work areas clean and organised in line with the ‘Clean As You Go’ policy
- Complete monitoring checks and paperwork accurately and promptly
- Proactively report hazards, defects, or near misses to the Line Optimiser
- Ensure all products, racks, and dolavs are properly labelled for traceability
- Support team goals by working flexibly across different areas of production
- Escalate any production issues and help drive resolution
- Comply with all company systems including Hellenic procedures
- Carry out all reasonable tasks as requested by management

The Ideal Candidate
- Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on production setting
- Detail-oriented, especially when completing paperwork and compliance checks
- A good communicator who can work professionally across teams
- Willing to learn and flexible in approach – able to adapt to different tasks and areas
- Safety-conscious with a strong sense of responsibility
