Production Operator
Production Operator (PPG) | Shildon
Role Purpose
To support the manufacturing of PPG coatings by ensuring all products, materials, and goods are produced to the highest quality standards while maintaining efficiency and operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities
- Manufacture products to the highest quality, adhering to PPG processes
- Advise on quality issues or material shortages with Production Manager or Shift Managers
- Assist in continually improving work area procedures
- Clean and maintain all equipment, following 5S requirements as part of daily duties
- Help maintain daily audit data as required
- Adhere to and manage health and safety guidelines, including:
- Complying with the Health and Safety Policy
- Identifying findings from risk assessments
- Promoting best health and safety practices within the team
- Perform additional duties as reasonably required by Production Manager/Shift Managers
Requirements
- Ability to process and apply Lean principles
- Strong communication skills, with the capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-achieving team
- Excellent organisational skills
