ABOUT THE ROLE
The main role of the Production Operator is to assist in the cutting room, customising stoma supplies, to fulfil customer orders in a timely and accurate manner to meet Quality Standards and achieve Service Level Agreement and departmental KPIs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To achieve the high standards required by the nature of the business, the duties that the successful candidate will be undertaking will be:
- Product customisation
- Order collation and packing
- Stock receipt
- Perpetual inventory checking
- General warehouse and admin duties.

Product Customisation
- Customising stoma pouches and supplies using sophisticated machinery and from time-to-time hand customising of stoma pouches.
- Customising stoma pouches in accordance with patient requests.
- Maintain accurate customer records and templates.
- To ensure all cutting quality issues are reported in good time.
Warehouse Duties
- Ensure working areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure stock is rotated.
- Ensure all documentation is correctly maintained.
- Assist with other duties as and when required.
Objectives
- Ensure all orders are customised and packed accurately
- Ensure the working area is always well maintained
- Ensure that all functions meet the Company ISO Quality Standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- Demonstrates competency in English and Maths.
- Computer experience
- Experience of production environments
- Ability to write clear and concise English.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally
- Flexible and proactive

Desirable
- Conscientious and able to act proactively and with limited direct supervision.
- Experience of warehouse environments
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal
- Team of 35+ working at the Cardiff Warehouse
- Working closely with other internal departments to ensure a quality service maintained
External
- Meeting and communicating with couriers acting on behalf of the business, plus any other visitors to the Cardiff DC site
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours between 09:00am – 17:00pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Additional hours may be required to meet business need.
