Company Description

Founded in 2016, MiAlgae leverages cutting-edge science and technology to tackle global food security and environmental challenges. Our breakthrough innovation lies in eliminating the need for wild-caught fish as a source of Omega-3, by harnessing microalgae—a sustainable and potent alternative.

Our production process recycles co-products from the food and drink industry to grow Omega-3 rich microalgae, returning clean water in the process and supporting a truly circular economy.

We are proud to be a diverse, family-friendly and inclusive employer, committed to equity and belonging in everything we do. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are open to discussing flexible working arrangements that suit both you and the role.

Role Description

This is a full-time Production Operator role based at MiAlgae's production site in Grangemouth, Falkirk, working within the Production Team and reporting directly to a Production Team Leader.

The Production Operator will contribute to the successful commercialisation of MiAlgae's omega-3 products and support the development of future products. The role will be responsible for operating and maintaining production processes and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality manufacturing activities within a shift-pattern environment.

You will carry out a range of production activities including clean-in-place (CIP), sterilisation-in-place (SIP), preparation of growth media, inoculation of bioreactors and routine sampling of products. Working closely with Production Team Leaders and colleagues across the business, you will help maintain production schedules, support process improvements and contribute to the continued growth of the company.

Key responsibilities include operation and set-up of manufacturing equipment, execution of CIP and SIP procedures, hygienic manufacturing activities, monitoring and reporting process outputs, maintaining accurate batch records and shift reports, basic mechanical troubleshooting, routine equipment maintenance and supporting cross-functional initiatives to improve production performance. All activities are undertaken in accordance with safety procedures, quality standards and good documentation practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
