PRODUCTION OPERATOR II
Production Operator – Wire & Cable (Nights Shift) at TE Connectivity ⚡

Our Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into high-quality products while ensuring smooth component flow, changeovers, quality checks, and adherence to TE’s operational standards.
Position Overview
Role: Production Operator (Wire & Cable) Location: Swindon Shift: Nights Schedule:
- Week 1: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM & Friday, 06:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Week 2: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
Shift Allowance: 33.33%
You’ll play a critical role in manufacturing Wire & Cable products, ensuring compliance with Quality standards, Health & Safety policies, and Lean Manufacturing principles while maintaining the workspace’s organization and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture wire and cable products in accordance with TE’s Quality standards and Health & Safety guidelines.
- Perform production tasks as defined by Tyco Electronics Operating Advantage (Lean Manufacturing).
- Work to the manufacturing schedule, informing supervision of any issues that may affect completion.
- Prepare and complete accurate, legible, and timely documentation for quality and production records.
- Report deviations promptly and assist in resolving non-compliances as needed.
- Follow training procedures and stay updated on General Standards.
- Participate in internal/external training to enhance your skills and growth.
- Identify and reduce waste that impacts operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and practices.
- Execute any additional duties specified by management.

Essential Requirements
- Reading & Following Instructions: Ability to interpret work methods, manufacturing specs, and quality standards.
- Effective Communication: Capable of conducting clear handovers to maintain workflow continuity.
- Basic IT Skills: Proficiency in necessary software and equipment.
- Strong Numeracy & Literacy: Fundamental math and literacy skills required.
- Logical & Methodical Approach: Attention to detail and systematic task execution.
- Flexibility & Willingness to Learn: Eager to adapt, upskill, and grow in the role.
