Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for providing daily production plans and projections. Essentially, we are seeking a determined and committed individual who can impact on performance and make a positive contribution to the company's future growth.
Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Ensuring Planning targets are met within deadlines, without compromising quality or control of costs.
- Producing daily/weekly production plans using current systems.
- Amending plans where necessary.
- Updating forecast figures on to KPI spreadsheets.
- Working so that raw materials are available on a ‘just in time basis’ in-line with production requirements and fluctuating customer orders.
- Supporting the Planning Manager so that stock levels are managed within product life and available storage capacity.
- Supporting the long, short and immediate term planning of raw material and production schedules.
- Supporting the Planning Manager to ensure that stock levels are at optimum levels.
- Striving for fulfilment of all customer orders, achieving 100% supplier service.
- Supporting the Department to analyse in-store stock trends to promote proactive planning and proactive response to the customer supply chain.
- Work with sales department well in advance of availability of surplus stocks to avoid last minute sales.
- Due to the nature of the role early starts are required

Qualifications
The Person:
- Previous experience in production planning, preferably in food processing, is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines.
- Possess strong planning skills with the ability to implement processes and procedures and to track progress.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel.
