Role: Production Planner
Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 DOE
Location: Leamington Spa, onsite

Role Summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Planner to join a UK-based engineering and manufacturing specialist supporting the premium automotive, motorsport and advanced engineering sectors. You will play a key role in ensuring manufacturing operations run efficiently by coordinating production schedules, material availability and site capacity to deliver projects on time.
Role & Responsibilities Of a Production Planner
- Plan and schedule production in line with customer orders, forecasted demand and business priorities.
- Coordinate material availability with purchasing and suppliers to ensure production requirements are met.
- Monitor manufacturing capacity and workloads to optimise shop floor efficiency.
- Manage production orders from release through to completion, tracking progress and resolving delivery risks.
- Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics and quality teams to maintain production schedules.
- Monitor key performance indicators including on-time delivery, lead times and stock levels.
- Produce planning updates and provide accurate production information to the wider business.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning accuracy, reduce waste and streamline processes.
- Utilise ERP/MRP systems such as MRPEasy, SAP or Oracle to manage production schedules and materials.

Requirements Of The Production Planner

- Previous experience within a Production Planner or similar manufacturing planning position.
- Experience planning production within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as MRPEasy, SAP or Oracle.
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage changing production demands.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational efficiency.
