Production Planner (Full-Time / Part-Time) – Llanybydder Site
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Planner to join our Commercial Department at our Llanybydder site.
Join our team in supporting farmers, strengthening the rural economy and feeding the nation!
About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Creating daily production plans
- Analysing raw material requirements
- Ensuring consistent service excellence for customers

Responsibilities
General Duties
- Maintain close communication with retail sites and the Group Planning Manager to fulfill customer requirements
- Achieve planning targets within deadlines while maintaining quality and cost control
- Ensure adherence to Housekeeping, Quality, Health & Safety, and company policies
- Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve issues efficiently

Production Planning Duties
- Produce accurate daily production plans using Excel and the internal Emydex system
- Maintain contact with retail sites and the Group Planning Manager to optimise raw material stock levels
- Input all planned sales volumes into the site’s production planner
- Record and analyse daily KPI data, including:
- Yield performance
- Boning hall downtime
- Monitor lamb origin requirements, coordinating with colleagues to source specific origins when needed
- Implement efficiency-driven processes, track progress, and improve operations
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Communicate regularly with the Boning Hall Manager and supervisors to review KPI performance and identify improvements
- Participate in system reviews, contributing continuous improvement aligned with company strategy
- Meet customer specifications and timeframes for both internal and external clients
- Support the Commercial Manager in producing the weekly group lamb plan, addressing challenges and contributing solutions
- Assist in new product set-ups, including attending meetings and updating planning systems for new SKUs
- Maintain accurate historical planning data and produce required reports
- Visit other Dunbia sites to share knowledge and gain operational insights
