Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our manufacturing team in Spondon. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules that support customer demand, optimize plant efficiency, and ensure materials and resources are available to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and medium-term production schedules.
  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, procurement, warehouse, and supply chain teams.
  • Monitor capacity, material availability, and equipment constraints.
  • Adjust plans to respond to changes in demand, downtime, material shortages, or operational priorities.
  • Track production performance and identify risks to plan adherence.
  • Support inventory control and ensure alignment between production plans and stock levels.
  • Communicate schedule changes and priorities clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning accuracy and site performance.
  • Maintain accurate planning data and relevant master data in systems.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with SAP.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing site environment.
  • Understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in operations, supply chain, or a related field.
