Responsibilities
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Now hiring for a Production Planner for our Bristol manufacturing plant. In this role you will be counted on for supporting day-to-day execution of production and subcontractor planning activities to ensure material availability, schedule attainment, and on-time delivery performance. This role partners closely with production, warehouse operations, subcontractors, and the regional supply planning team to balance demand, capacity, inventory, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Resource Planning:
- Convert ERP/MRP planned orders into executable production schedules.
- Maintain accurate production orders to provide clean MRP signals.
- Review material availability, inventory, labour, and equipment constraints before scheduling.
- Support weekly schedule attainment aligned with the medium-term master schedule.
- KPIs: Schedule attainment, OTD, backorders, past-due orders.

Subcontractor Coordination & Planning:
- Issue weekly/monthly subcontractor purchase orders and schedules.
- Track subcontractor OTD, shortages, and capacity constraints.
- Review subcontractor feedback and execution readiness.
- KPIs: Subcontractor OTD, shortage prevention, conversion rates.
Capacity & Workload Analysis:
- Support rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) for internal and external lines.
- Analyse workload based on demand signals (SAP/ERP).
- Escalate constraints early to the Materials Manager | Supply Chain Manager
- KPIs: Capacity adherence, stockouts, labour variance.
Prioritisation & Execution Support:
- Use ERP exception messages to expedite, de-expedite, reprioritise, or reschedule production and subcontractor work.
- Communicate changes to Production Leads, Customer Service, and Subcontractors.
- KPIs: Past-due orders, customer re-dates, response time.
Inventory & Cycle Counting:
- Coordinate annual cycle counting with warehouses and subcontractors.
- Investigate discrepancies and support corrective actions.
- KPIs: ≥95% stock accuracy, cycle count completion.

Data Maintenance & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate master data (lead times, MRP settings, repetitive scheduling).
- Monitor and report KPIs weekly/monthly.
- Use ERP dashboards for exception management.
Continuous Improvement:
- Support problem-solving sessions using the site operating system.
- Identify opportunities to streamline scheduling, communication, and data accuracy.

Reports to: Supply Chain Manager
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- 0–4 years in production planning, materials management, logistics, or supply chain roles.
- Familiarity with ERP/SAP planning functions.
- Analytical mindset and strong communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working with subcontractors or external operations partners.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments.
Education:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or equivalent.

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Responsive, proactive, and able to work with changing priorities.
- Collaborative across departments and external partners.
- Comfortable interpreting data and making recommendations.
