Production Planner Role
Near Coleshill, Warwickshire Salary: £40k – Negotiable (D/R Expenses Included)
About the Role
Our client, an established 40-year market leader in design, manufacturing and distribution of supply solutions across the world, is looking for an enthusiastic Production Planner to enhance their planning and scheduling division. This dynamic role will involve supporting the Production Manager in scheduling orders, coordinating logistics, and driving supply chain efficiency to meet business demands.
The ideal candidate will ensure production schedules meet deadlines, optimise resource allocation, and support departmental goals by aligning production activities with KPIs, inventory, sales trends, and company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate production to meet deadlines based on:
- Stock, inventory, projects, and market trends
- Company objectives and departmental KPIs
- Schedule, monitor, and execute production activities using CyberPlan APS, ensuring efficient use of:
- Labour
- Machinery
- Raw materials
- Analyse and forecast based on:
- Stock levels
- Sales demand
- Project requirements
- Market conditions
- Optimise daily operations by reviewing:
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Routing
- Work centre capacity
- Collaborate across departments to ensure:
- Materials manufacturing teams, subcontractors and stock controllers have what they need
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in production flow, including:
- Material shortages
- Delivery risks
- Quality issues
- Implement root-cause analysis for production challenges
- Generate progress reports including:
- Production performance
- Capacity utilisation
- On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics
- Support warehouse efficiency by ensuring timely:
- Raw material picking
- Movement of stock (RMS warehouse)
- Drive continuous improvement in:
- Planning processes
- Scheduling
- Stock control
- Production flow

Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proficient with:
- SAP/ERP systems
- Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrable experience in:
- Manufacturing processes
- Ideally within pressing or machining environments
- Ability to:
- Diagnose and solve problems
- Collect, analyse, and implement solutions

Qualifications
- Degree-qualified OR
- 5+ years’ experience in Production Planning, allied to engineering/technical manufacturing
