Production Planner

North Tyneside

£32-35K (Dependent on Experience)

Permanent staff position

Based on site

A leading print and packaging manufacturer are looking for a sharp, proactive Production Planner to keep operations running like clockwork.

As a Production Planner, you will be the heartbeat of the manufacturing floor. Scheduling jobs, balancing machine capacities, material availability, and client deadlines to create an optimised production schedule that maximises efficiency and minimises downtime.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create, maintain, and optimise daily and weekly production schedules for our printing & finishing departments.
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure materials and tooling are on-site and ready before a job hits the floor.
  • Act as the vital link between Account Management, Sales, Design, and the Warehouse to communicate lead times and manage expectations.
  • Rapidly adjust schedules to accommodate urgent, high-priority client requests or unexpected machine maintenance without breaking a sweat.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
