Job Title: Production Planning Analyst
Location: Cambridge (site-based)
Salary: Up to £37,000 + benefits
Hours: Monday – Friday, days
Are you someone who enjoys turning data into clear, actionable plans? This role sits at the centre of production operations, helping ensure the right parts, capacity and information come together so products can be built and shipped on time.
You’ll be part of a small planning team working closely with Production, Purchasing, Inventory and Engineering to maintain realistic schedules, optimise material flow and drive improvements in how the production environment runs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating and maintaining production schedules that support customer delivery dates
- Working with Purchasing & Inventory teams to ensure materials and components are available on time
- Reviewing demand trends to support stocking levels and lead-time improvements
- Helping troubleshoot bottlenecks and planning issues across multiple value streams
- Supporting ERP data accuracy and identifying ways to streamline planning processes
- Contributing to continuous improvement activities on the shop floor and within planning workflows
- Using data to support decision-making and improve visibility of performance

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in Production Planning, Scheduling or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working with MRP/ERP systems (any system is fine, training given)
- Strong Excel and data-handling skills
- Someone who likes structure, logic and problem-solving
- Good communicator who can work with both office and shop-floor teams
- Familiarity with lean principles / continuous improvement is a big plus
