The Production Planning Leader, is a key function working to build and control the manufacturing schedule aligned with customer orders to be delivered, manufacturing needs and business strategy for the short term. In this role, the production control will be responsible not only for Short-Term planning building QTR detailed scheduling using current system/tool available but also to facilitate and connect the other departments that will contribute to the execution of the QTR mfg plan. This person will align and address issues of moderate to high complexity to keep the schedule as planned. Also, the appreciation of financial impacts is needed to support decision for the QTR.
As a Production Planning Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Developing manufacturing / production schedule to meet customer demands, drive material requirements, and proactively set levels of output
- Assuring that the shop operation capacities are loaded by the best activities per customer and financial (Business + Shop) requirements.
- Leading daily production control meeting to track and identify adherence to the plan.
- Identifying and reacting to schedules that do not meet Customer requirements (e.g. short cycled, unplanned, etc.)
- Reporting operation on-time performance and coordinate root cause and corrective actions with Shop Operations Leaders
- Coordinating the efforts with the Ops Leaders and Production manager to resolve bottlenecks, machine maintenance, manpower issues, tools, programs, and shop capacity that impact schedules
- Production of manufacturing float and utilisation data to enable accurate forecasting and risk analysis
- Working with Manufacturing Engineering to identify and correct inaccurate routings
- Assuring timely shipments to all customers and prepare and implement work orders and plans as required
- Coordinating with Material Planner and short-term planner to ensure appropriate raw material is in stock; minimize QC hold, blend off, and return material
- Completing and maintaining quarterly production charts and report out, along with the business leaders, as required.
- Lead and report production metrics/status for top business Leaders by weekly basis.
- Running and simulating what-if scenario to mitigate delivery risk or improvements to have the best and optimized production schedule.
- Be aware of all EHS + Quality initiatives and procedure.

Fuel your Passion
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) with strong experience in Manufacturing Planning
- Experience in MRP & scheduling planning with general knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience on P6 primavera (added advantage)
- Knowledge of Engineering BOM structures
- Should be familiar with Warehouse/Production operations
- Experienced on reporting to Senior leadership
