PRODUCTION PLANNING SPEC
Job Overview:
Weatherford has a great opportunity for a Production Planning Specialist to join the team in Altens, Aberdeen. The Production Planning Specialist will prepare production schedules and establish the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates.
Responsibilities:
- Date manage new orders as per procedure.
- Workshop scheduling for load and capacity production plans.
- Revise pick date, ship date and ship date as per production meetings.
- Raise work order, communicate with production/workshop/buyers/machine shop to ensure all necessary work is completed.
- Identify key list of orders and chase up with buyers and planners on these daily.
- Communicate with vendors for key purchase order items as well.
- Any other tasks requested by the planning supervisor/manager or the manufacturing manage.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
- 1-3 years planning/scheduling experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
- College degree in business or technical discipline.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with all departments to ensure positive results.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
