Main Print Production Specialist - The Key Responsibilities

To oversee the full lifecycle of print jobs, including:

Job Process Ownership

  • Artwork submission, proofing, production, and final delivery
  • Monitor progress to meet deadlines, quality standards, and budgets

Client Advocacy

  • Be the primary point of contact for outsourced print requirements
  • Build strong relationships with local and senior-level stakeholders
  • Ensure high client satisfaction through responsiveness and support

Solution Development

  • Work with clients to determine optimal print solutions, aligning cost, quality, and deadlines
  • Present industry-standard recommendations to meet client requirements

Internal Print Room Synchronisation

  • Channel eligible work internally through the print room
  • Validate jobs by confirming specifications, quantities, and finishes
  • Ensure all output meets agreed standards before production release

Production Coordination

  • Work with internal production teams to route jobs efficiently
  • Create and manage detailed production schedules
  • Prioritise work to meet service levels and deadlines

Supplier Engagement & Procurement

  • Manage the tendering process for jobs that require external partners
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and present competitive recommendations
  • Maintain effective supplier relationships for smooth delivery

Ideal Candidate Requirements

Soft Skills & Strategic Mindset

  • Strong knowledge of print production processes and standards
  • Proven experience in supplier management and procurement
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to interpret and construct technical print specifications
  • Strong commercial awareness, prioritising quality, cost, and timelines

Communication & Stakeholder Mastery

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Fluent communication and stakeholder relationship management

Technical & Analytical Rigour

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, print/design applications, and management information systems (MIS)
  • Financial acumen for achieving budget targets
  • Strong conflict resolution and analytical skills
