Production Process Engineer
Location: London
Rate: £450 - £500 per day umbrella
Contract: Contract
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Process Engineer to support rolling stock overhaul and refurbishment projects within a safety-critical rail environment.
You'll develop production workflows, create work instructions and engineering procedures, validate Bills of Materials (BOMs), and support engineering assurance activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop production processes and workflows for overhaul projects.
- Produce work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Create and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Support engineering assurance and concession activities.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to deliver project objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement across production processes.

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience within the UK railway industry.
- Rolling stock maintenance, overhaul, or refurbishment experience.
- Production/process engineering background.
- Experience writing work instructions and engineering procedures.
- Strong understanding of engineering assurance and quality processes.

Desirable
- BOM validation experience.
- Mechanical and electrical rolling stock knowledge.
- ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
