Production Runner
Location: Manchester Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Working pattern: Predominantly on-site, with occasional remote work where possible
Support the production operations behind Manchester City’s daily video, live, digital, and long-form content. Assist shoots by preparing and maintaining camera equipment, supporting filming, moving kit, and managing media workflows—helping create world-class experiences for Fans every day.
About the Role

This role sits within our Content Team, supporting the production efforts behind live broadcasts, video content, and digital output.
The Role
As Production Runner, you’ll be essential behind the scenes, bridging the gap between production teams, talent, and workflows. Your core responsibilities include:

Technical & Logistical Support
- Preparing, testing, and maintaining camera equipment, production kits, and technical spaces to ensure shoots and live activities run smoothly.
- Based on-site primarily, you’ll handle real-time kit movement, equipment checks, and setup assistance across shoots, matchday agendas, and rehearsals.

Production Operations & Collaboration
- Working alongside Live Team, Video Team, and broader content functions to support shoots—from pre-production to final delivery.
- Contributing to content clipping, video metadata, and media management workflows to keep productions moving efficiently.
- Offering hands-on support to talent, guests, and production teams, ensuring media asset pipelines are seamless.

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
⚽ Hands-on technical skills
- Experience maintaining, using, or preparing camera equipment, production kits, or video production gear.
⚽ Production & workflow knowledge
- Understanding of filming techniques, recording workflows, or media asset management across NLEs (Non-Linear Editing systems) and digital platforms.
⚽ Operational readiness
- Energy for fast-paced, physical work—moving large/heavy loads, adapting to last-minute requirements, and multitasking between teams.
⚽ Organisational expertise
- Ability to manage clocks, equipment, and requests efficiently, working to tight deadlines without compromising quality.
⚽ Collaborative mindset
- A curious, hands-on approach to media content—always looking for ways to improve processes or enhance viewing experiences for Fans.
