Production Scheduler

Copello are supporting a leading aerospace and defence manufacturer in the recruitment of a Production Scheduler to join their growing team.
Operating from a highly advanced manufacturing facility, the organisation specialises in the design, production, and testing of complex systems for the aerospace sector. With significant investment in its people, technology, and capabilities, this is an exciting opportunity to join a business at the forefront of innovation and operational excellence.
Key Job Activities
- Create and manage detailed short-term production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer priorities, material availability, and the wider production plan.
- Release and sequence work orders to maximise production efficiency and minimise disruption when constraints arise.
- Monitor work-in-progress and production performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks, risks, and overdue orders, implementing recovery plans where required.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Stores, Procurement, and Quality teams to resolve material shortages and support the smooth execution of the production schedule.
- Track schedule adherence and production performance, providing regular updates on risks, deviations, and corrective actions to key stakeholders.
- Support production planning and operational review meetings, ensuring clear communication of priorities and delivery commitments.
- Maintain accurate planning data within ERP systems, ensuring production parameters, lead times, and master data reflect operational capability.
- Drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes, data accuracy, and production execution to support on-time delivery and operational performance.

Qualifications & Experience

- Experience in production control, scheduling, or shop floor coordination.
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production workflows.
- Ability to manage constraints, adjust schedules rapidly, and collaborate across functions.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
