Position Summary

Access Services at XR Global (UK) Limited is a leading provider of commercial accessibility services and is seeking an experienced English hard-of-hearing specialist to join the team as a Production Services Specialist. This position is for a 9-month fixed term contract.

Job Responsibilities

  • Creating English hard-of-hearing subtitles for broadcast, online and cinema
  • Organising the creation and delivery of audio description, BSL and foreign-language projects, from the quotation stage to the client deliverables, while maintaining strict quality standards
  • Liaising with clients, adapting to short-notice schedule changes, handling media assets, and sourcing and managing freelance linguists

Client Liaison

  • Providing direct support throughout the project cycle
  • Communicating project status
  • Handling technical issues and linguistic queries
  • Ensuring that projects meet expectations

Project Management

  • Assigning, scheduling and supervising accessibility projects
  • Sourcing and recruiting linguists
  • Analysing media technical specification and content
  • Applying quality control to ensure the creation of the highest quality work

Other Associated Duties

  • Liaising with specialist personnel in other XR departments
  • Finding solutions to technical and linguistic issues
  • Staying up to date with technology developments
  • Ensuring all projects are invoiced accurately

Requirements

  • Proven experience in production services, operations, or a similar role within a media, accessibility, creative, or technical environment
  • Advanced training and hands-on experience with professional subtitling software
  • A consistently high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across all production outputs
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to work effectively with internal and external partners
  • Commitment, dedication, and a proactive approach to workload management
  • Technical competency with various file formats and the ability to navigate technical documentation
  • Flexibility to work within weekly shift patterns
