Production Shift Manager (Frontline Manager) – PepsiCo UK

Overview

At PepsiCo UK, we produce some of the nation’s favourite snacks and drinks—like Walkers, Quaker, Doritos, Pipers, and Monster Munch. Our facilities, including our Quaker mill in Cupar, Doritos factory in Coventry, and one of the world’s largest crisp factories in Leicester, ensure we are a leader in production.


About The Role

As a Production Shift Manager (Frontline Manager), you will be the primary leader for your frontline team, making critical decisions throughout the shift to drive performance, maintain standards, and foster continuous improvement. Attendance will be 12-hour shifts, including both daytime and night shifts.


Responsibilities

  • Role-model PepsiCo values and behaviours, setting high standards for your team through your leadership and actions.
  • Champion safety at all times—ensure your team adheres to all safety protocols and works safely every shift.
  • Maintain rigorous GMP and housekeeping standards to keep your area consistently audit-ready.
  • Protect product quality and food safety, ensuring all systems and checks are followed to the highest level.
  • Conduct high-performing operations by adhering to processes and equipment standards.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate your team, supporting their growth and development for long-term career success.
  • Manage attendance, performance, and conduct to build a capable, accountable, and resilient team.
  • Take ownership of area outputs, collaborating with the Operations Manager and other stakeholders to continuously improve key performance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, we require:

  • The ability to build strong, respectful team relationships and foster a collaborative culture.
  • Frontline leadership experience in safety, operations, and quality, driving performance under pressure.
  • Strong calm decision-making skills, even during high-stress or complex situations.
  • Exceptional organisational skills—ability to prioritise competing demands effectively.
  • Training and coaching experience, with proven success in developing high-performing teams.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Work Systems (IWS) or similar continuous-improvement frameworks.
  • Comfort working with operational data and structured problem-solving methods.
