Production / Operations Manager
About the Role
With a manufacturing operation as pacey and complex as ours, it's key we have a strong Production team who are on the ball and can keep up with the demands of the site. Our mission is to ensure our manufacturing operation runs smoothly by delivering great quality products to customers, on time.
This is a demanding, pacey, and ever-changing role. As Production / Operations Manager, you will:
- Report into the Production / Operations Manager and manage a team of Team Managers responsible for a large number of operators and technicians.
- Ensure the Health & Safety of all colleagues while continuously improving standards.
- Maintain a balanced scorecard against KPIs to drive growth across the site.
- Maximise profits and drive performance improvements.
- Work with current teams to develop the Continuous Improvement Strategy, engaging colleagues.

Responsibilities
- Leading a dynamic production environment while ensuring efficiency and high-quality output.
- Managing health, safety, and compliance across operational workflows.
- Monitoring KPIs to align with business goals and industry benchmarks.
- Implementing cost-effective measures while scaling up productivity.

Requirements
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a similar Production / Operations leadership role, ideally within Fresh Produce manufacturing (high-risk environments preferred).
- A proven track record in people management, with the ability to deliver measurable results through teams.
- Outstanding communication skills and strong assertiveness to make quick, decisive decisions.
- A can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and hands-on approach to challenges.
- Knowledge of cost models, experience with budgetary control, and understanding of food safety compliance, including pest control management.
