Production Supervisor – Omagh

About the Role

As Production Supervisor based in Omagh, you will:
- Lead daily operations on the shop floor to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
- Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and employee engagement
- Ensure production meets global standards while empowering your team to thrive
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Production Manager, your role is both operational and strategic:

Team Leadership
- Manage and develop daily production staff, overseeing labour deployment, attendance, training, and employee relations
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback

Production Oversight & Efficiency
- Monitor and control production levels to meet targets, ensuring materials flow smoothly to the floor
- Implement and promote lean manufacturing techniques, including 5S, Kaizen, and waste elimination

Collaboration & Problem-Solving
- Partner with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to resolve bottlenecks and production challenges
- Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce costs, optimise resources, and enhance efficiency

Quality & Compliance
- Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring a zero-harm culture
- Ensure compliance with site rules, procedures, and Terex’s global quality standards

Leadership & Meetings
- Facilitate daily and weekly production briefings
- Proactively manage ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum educational requirement: GCSE level or equivalent
- Essential experience:
- Significant manufacturing experience in a high-pressure environment
- Proven supervisory track record and people management skills
- Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Desired skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of lean manufacturing, visual management, and continuous improvement
- Proficiency with Oracle/ERP systems
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
