The Production Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at our Dagenham facility. This role oversees day-to-day production operations on the shop floor, ensuring production lines run safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards and food safety regulations. The Production Supervisor coordinates production schedules, allocates resources, and monitors output to meet targets and customer requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting production teams
- Managing shift performance
- Handling issues that impact productivity
- Maintaining clear communication with colleagues and management
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Promoting health and safety
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading and motivating production or manufacturing teams.
- Ability to manage production schedules and apply effective production planning to meet operational targets.
- Experience in production management, including monitoring performance, resolving issues, and driving process improvements.
- Clear and confident communication skills for coordinating with colleagues, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Background in food manufacturing or FMCG production (bakery, chilled, or plant-based products is an advantage).
- Knowledge of health and safety, food safety, and quality standards within a production environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a focus on efficiency and waste reduction.
- Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing production demands; previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role is preferred.
