Production Supervisor
Production Supervisor
Role Summary
The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations within an assigned production area or shift, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role supervises a team responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, performing quality control, and packaging goods for shipment. The Production Supervisor guarantees adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards while fostering a positive, productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team ensuring they meet production goals, including machinery operation, product assembly, quality checks, and packaging.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to new and current employees to improve skills and performance.
- Monitor output and performance across assigned production areas, tracking targets for quantity, quality, and efficiency.
- Coordinate workflows across shifts and departments to maintain consistency and meet deadlines.
- Proactively identify equipment issues and escalate to maintenance/engineering teams to prevent downtime.
- Oversee inventory levels, ensuring materials are available without causing delays or overstock.
- Collaborate with production planning to align staffing and materials with operational needs.
- Ensure product quality by overseeing checks and working with quality assurance teams.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies, promoting a clean and efficient environment.
- Enforce 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) for an organized workspace.
- Drive continuous improvement by adopting best practices in production processes.
- Complete documentation (shift reports, inventory logs, safety audits) on time and accurately.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications (Required)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a production or manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
