About the Role

Reports to: Technical Development Manager Location: Darlington Hours: Rotating shift pattern:

  • 6am – 2pm
  • 2pm – 10pm
  • 10pm – 6am

Salary: £13.09 per hour (plus shift allowance), 37.5/39-hour contract

  • Production planning
  • Stock control
  • Systems management
  • Reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily production planning, ensuring plans, bookings, and shop orders are accurate and up to date
  • Assist Team Leaders with:
    • Stock location and validation
    • Issue resolution across all production areas
  • Maintain high stock control and accuracy
  • Manage ATO-specific activities, including:
    • EXPI checks
    • Scrap control
    • Pallet movements and transfers
    • Live load sheet tracking
  • Complete regular scrap audits, and maintain PI (performance indicators) reports
  • Produce and maintain weekly and monthly operational reports, escalating risks and recurring issues as needed
  • Ensure accurate system data, support basic system access requests, and comply with Health & Safety standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across all levels
  • Practical problem-solver with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident and independent when working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Highly organised, with strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Proactive, motivated, and comfortable constructively challenging issues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience

  • Experience in production, manufacturing, or supply chain environments is highly desirable, but not essential
